While schools throughout Vermont are working overtime to provide content curriculum in this challenging time, COVID has meant that many extracurricular activities, clubs, and support services have been canceled. Many students in Vermont are home schooling or remote learning for the first time, and as COVID numbers throughout the state increase so do the numbers of families chosing remote learning for thier children. These students need opportunities to engage with peers and pursue interests that help stimulate their curiosity and activate inspired learning from home. At the same time, many teachers are finding themselves out of work or without the extra income they once earned sponsoring clubs and extracurricular activities.
Green Mountain Online Learning Network is a group of local teachers and community members offering classes and clubs inspired by their own interests and talents. Our goal is to connect local Vermont students, teachers, and community members through fun and engaging online learning opportunities.
Our enrichment opportunities are available to home study students, remote learners, homeschool pods, school groups and students enrolled in local independent and public schools.
