Learn Basic Coding skills with students from Dartmouth Thayer School of Engineering using the Hour of Code Program. Students will learn block and line coding through fun and engaging games and activities. No experience needed. All ages, but some reading required. FREE - space limited.

Introducing Hour of Code's first ever Python Mini-Course! Software forms the backbone of our modern world. It's everywhere from email to gaming. With it, comes a fascinating logic-based system of creation, software engineering! To best equip the creators of tomorrow, we are offering a two week mini-course into the foundations of Python with the goal of getting budding inventors started with their very own digital software projects!
This condensed course will feature one hour of instruction in Python, followed by a virtual lab where students can work on their coding projects together with an instructor each evening from 8-9 PM. This two week course is free, but space will be limited to 8 students. Taught by students at the Dartmouth Thayer School of Engineering

For the summer session, we ask families to sign up for one day they plan to come. You do not have to notify us if you cannot come a particular week due to vacation, etc. but please let us know if you are not planning to attend anymore so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Eric will use the Chess.com program with students, so please set up an account before class.
Classes cost $10 each and are payable directly to Eric.

This class is for older students who need support with spelling and phonemic awareness. We will look at the building blocks of words using the Wilson Just Words Program and other supplemental materials. This is NOT a traditional Wilson course. Students will have opportunities for online practice between clases, and a weekly game at the end of the week. This fast paced class is quick and painless!
Appropriate for Individual students, summer school groups, or homeschool groups.
